Tom spent his childhood and adolescence growing up in the west end of Toronto. As a child he studied music at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. He attended Vincent Massey Collegiate where he played football. Tom's love of music and passion to perform had him on the road during his teen years. As a musician and keyboard player his favourite instrument was the B-3 organ. His career took him from Quebec City to the cruise ships in the Caribbean, from Newfoundland, throughout the Atlantic provinces to Saskatchewan. He performed at clubs in Toronto such as the El Mocambo, the Bluenote and The Brown Derby. Tom's talents expanded to becoming the Musical Director for dinner theatres in Halifax. Tom played at a number of venues throughout Muskoka. Tom was well respected in the musical industry and was a mentor for young musicians. In later years Tom worked as a carpenter throughout Muskoka meticulously restoring older cottages.

Respecting Tom's wishes there will be no funeral service.
