She was an artist who pursued her passion throughout her life. Edith was enthusiastic and tireless in her community. She was active in many associations and held positions with the 4H Club, Junior Civitan and the Bracebridge Fall Fair. She was elected for multiple terms as a Trustee and was also voted Chairman with the Board of Education during her tenure. Edith was elected as a Town Councilor for the Town of Bracebridge and received her 15 Year Service Pin.

Edith’s pride was her family dairy farm, which she and Fred operated while they raised their family. Many people will remember Nichols Sweet Corn and many came back year after year.
