It is with great sadness that McNaughton & Decaire family announces the passing of Susan McNaughton predeceased by her loving husband David McNaughton. Sue passed away peacefully and comfortably at Andy’s House in Port Carling. She is survived by her 3 children and 5 grandchildren, Daughter Katie McNaughton (Chris), Daughter Bobby Decaire (Justin), Son Sean McNaughton (Maddison). She was a loving grandmother to five grandchildren Destany, Chase and Brienna Decaire (Bobby & Justin) and Weslynn & Nova McNaughton (Sean’s children).
Sue was a very loving, caring and selfless woman. She loved her children, grandchildren, her “Dog child” Tasha who will miss her greatly. She loved fishing every chance she got, she loved gardening, and playing bingo, she also loved cooking for holidays and for her family. Our mom was the type of person where kids are always first, she was a true believer in what’s mine is yours and she was always a true advocate of sharing anything and everything she had. Her favourite saying to us was if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything.
Living in Bracebridge, Sue worked at Dura Automotive which she loved until they shut down, she made many friends and acquaintances there.
She will be met by her father Bruce Iveson whom she cared for as he traveled through a tough journey with cancer.
A special thanks to the professional, kind and caring staff at Andy’s House Hospice for taking amazing care of our mother and assuring her complete comfort during this difficult transition into after life.
Cremation has taken place.
We will be having a Celebration of Life in the near future and will update the date, time and place at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Andy’s House Hospice in Port Carling.
