A poem written by her granddaughter Meg Pie
We have a guardian angel
She was sent from heaven
Up above, to protect us
Every day and to shine over us like the sun.
Like a butterfly that flies
Away your spirit lives on
Every day, and we’ll always be connected by love
Together in some way.
They say there is a reason
And they say that time will
Heal but neither time or
Reason will change the way
We feel.
Those special memories of
You will always bring a smile.
If only we could have you
Back for just a little while.
Your memory is our
Keepsake, with which well
Never part.
God has you in his keeping,
We have you in our hearts.
Your words “I’ve always
Been your angel” will forever
Remain, we’ll cherish our last
Moments each and every day.
Each moment till that day
Arrives until my time is
Through. I’ll miss you more
Than words can say and
always think of you.
I’ll look for you among the
Stars in each dawn’s pastel
Sky, and whisper words of
Love to you but never say
Goodbye.
