Randy Allen

July 2, 1953 — March 13, 2019

Sir Randy Allen, (dubbed by his post stroke team on account of his charm and endurance) gave up the ghost on Wednesday March 13 2019 in Huntsville ON, after a noble journey of stroke rehabilitation, and cancer treatment.

Son of Gerald Kirk Allen and Audrey Mary Allen (Nee Burton) -Both Deceased
Brother of Danny Allen, (deceased) Survived by: sister Donna Barr (Nee Allen),
In addition to an incredible modern family mix of his nieces, Kyla Taylor and Nicole Middlebrook, his nephew, Justin Middlebrook and several great nieces and great nephews. Survived also by ‘adopted' family of Doug & Cheryl Marshall and Lily who lovingly refer to him as Ola. Far too many amazing friends to mention, who have built a close relationship with Randy over the years. Sorely missed by Skip MacLean, best friends for 54 years. Equally as important to Randy, his faithful companion of 12 years, Jessy James.

Randy, Brother Randy, Uncle Ran, Ola, as he was known to friends, neighbors and family will be remembered for many things. Namely his need for speed, his passion for music and his spectacular annual birthday fireworks seen and heard by all on Three Mile Lake. His extraordinary knack for unconventional problem solving and an extensive bank of working knowledge of everything under the sun earned him the iconic fame of being a true MacGyver.

What many may not talk about was his ability to nurture. He had gift for gardening, was generous with his time and skills, and although he loved to hunt, he would rather shoot a buck with his camera than his rifle. What we must remember, was his mental fortitude. That stubborn, pathological optimist who fought the fight for more than nine lives.

The family invites all who knew Randy to join us in celebrating his life and sharing stories.
