Pius Joseph Edwards

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Pius Joseph Edwards, of Bracebridge on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the age of 74 years.  

Pius will be lovingly remembered by his life partner Karen Bellamy, his children Jamie Edwards (Jenna), Peter Edwards (Sue), Genny Edwards (predeceased Terry), his beautiful grandchildren Taylor (Kyle), Matia, Mila, Jamie-Lee, Ryley and Dylan and great grandchildren Ava and Blake.  He is predeceased by his parents Isadore and Celestina Edwards, his sister Bridgette and brother Ray.  He will forever be missed by his siblings Joan, Pat, Rita, and Lizzie along with his many nieces and nephews.

Pius was born in Lawn, Newfoundland and moved to Ontario where he raised his family.  He enjoyed a very long career with Canadian Tire before retiring and moving to Bracebridge where he loved to work on home improvement projects and partake in his favourite pastimes fishing and going out on his boat!!  Pius was a Die Hard Leafs Fan and we are sure he will be cheering on the Leafs in the playoffs! 

A Memorial service will take place at the Reynolds Funeral Home, 1 Mary Street, Bracebridge, on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1pm in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
