Patricia 'Pat' Jean Gasson (née Hollis)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia (Pat) Jean Gasson on May 14th, 2026, at Bracebridge Hospital, at the age of 88. Pat lived life fully and with a vibrant spirit right until the end.

A proud professional, Pat enjoyed a lengthy and successful career with the Royal Bank of Canada, where her work took her on adventures across the country. Beyond her professional life, she was known for her impeccable sense of style, which was evident in everything she touched—from her meticulously curated home and lush gardens to her elegant personal attire. A true lady of grace, one would never see Pat without her "face on" and a perfectly coordinated ensemble.

Pat’s greatest joy came from her relationships. She cherished her many lifelong friends and was a formidable presence in her bridge group, where the only thing more plentiful than the wins were the laughs they shared.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Gasson. Pat was the dear mother of Tiffany Bol (Ken) and Cameron Gasson; the loving "Grannie" to Jesse Bol (Sandy), Tiana Bol, Shayne Bol, and Erin Lawley; and the adored "GG" (Great Grandmother) to Savanna Sangster, Bennett Bol, Kennedy Bol, Blake Lawley, and Blair Lawley.

Celebration of Life

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Pat’s remarkable life on Wednesday, June 17th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Bala Stone Church (Burgess Memorial), located at 1035 Bala Falls Rd, Bala, ON P0C 1A0.

In honour and memory of Pat, memorial donations can be made to the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation for their outstanding and compassionate care given.
