Patricia Helen Anderson died peacefully on Sept 29, 2026 after a lengthy battle with dementia. At the time of her death Pat resided at Muskoka Shores in Gravenhurst. Pat was born to Dr. James Douglas Wilmont Hindson and Gladys Viola Hindson (Elrick) of Toronto on August 16, 1933. After attending Runnymede Collegiate Pat went on to teach kindergarten for a few years before raising her children along side of her beloved husband Terence Owens Anderson in Etobicoke.
Pat had many loves in her life - including her love of family and the many pets she cared for throughout her life. Pat’s love of music was clear, for she sang in many choirs, from local church choirs, The Leslie Bell singers, the Cellar singers in Bracebridge to the Orpheus Choir of Toronto. Pat loved nature too - she collected butterflies, which she learned how to do belonging to the butterfly club at the Royal Ontario Museum as a young girl. Pat knew the sound and sight of the birds of Muskoka. She grew and lovingly tended flower gardens wherever she lived. In retirement Pat lived on beautiful Lake Muskoka during the summer and wintered in Mexico. Pre-deceased by beloved husband Terrence (Terry) of 63 years.
Loving Mother of Wendy (Tony) Sutey, Wayne (Claire) Anderson, Brian (Vicky) Anderson, Brad Anderson. Grandma to Thomas (Kelly) Sutey, Shannon Sutey, Jonathon Anderson, Joshua Anderson, Cole Anderson, Hailey Anderson. Pat will be missed by family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held for Pat on Saturday, November 7th at Reynolds Funeral Home, in Bracebridge. The service begins at 1:00pm, followed by a reception at St.Thomas Anglican Church Browning Hall (directly across from the Funeral Home).
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka.
The Family would like to thank the wonderfully amazing staff at Muskoka Shores for their service and care of our mother.
