Millie Martin

It is with broken hearts and extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Millie Martin on May 7th, 2025, at her home in Bracebridge. Millie was in her 83rd year. Loving wife of the late Gary Martin (2017). Loving mother of Lisa, son Todd (Nikki) and incredibly proud Nana to Corey, Brennan, Taylor, Jenna and Chase. Dear sister of Marian Wells, Madeleine (Ken) Stuart, Lorraine Mountford, Lois (Jim) Wright and Leslie (Phil) Williams. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Originally from Fenelon Falls, Millie moved to Bracebridge in 1963, started a family with Gary and a job with the TD Bank. From there she went to work at the law firm Lee Roche & Kelly. After that she opened her own business on the main street of Bracebridge called Country Kitchen and Bath. When she closed her store, she returned to the TD Bank until her retirement. In retirement she devoted herself to volunteering at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital where she could usually be found on the day surgery desk.

Millie will be remembered for her love of family, friends, sports and live music. Her style and class left a lasting impression on all that knew her.

A Celebration of Millie’s life will be held on July 20th from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the South Muskoka Curling and Golf Course. Millie was loved by many and will be truly missed by all.
