Melody Nicole Bailey

May 16, 1984 — August 15, 2025

Bracebridge

As I am sure most of you have heard, Heaven has got another Angel. Melody passed away on August 15, 2025. She lost her fight with her addiction. Another one gone way too soon.

We are heartbroken. But so are a lot of you as well.

Melody was born to Tim Bailey and Geri Kelly not far from Stoneleigh Road. She spent most of her life in that area. She never knew her Grampa, Colin Bailey (d). But her Granny, Ida Bailey (d) was everything to Melody. She spent a great amount of time with Granny. Going to Algonquin Park with her younger sister Alicia Bailey. They spent a lot of time at the Cottage at Dicky Lake. They would have visitors; like their Uncle John Bailey (d), Aunt Cindy and cousin Emma. Aunt Debbie and Aunt Linda. Their summers were ideal.

Later in life Alicia’s children, Alysa Goodman and Damian Goodman, would spend much of their summers there too. Feeding the goslings and ducklings. Some cousins went to the cottage as well. Some spent a lot of time in Muskoka. Here and there. Like Jessica Kelly and her beautiful family. Ben Kelly and his wonderful family. Rachel and her brother Josh Gerstner. Ryan and his sister Sasha Strong.

Melody leaves behind many cousins. She came from a very large family. Melody leaves behind her brother Chris Ellis, his wife Jenn, nieces Keira and Abby and nephew Tanner from Saskatchewan. Sister Dena Ellis. Melody leaves behind her love Pete Everett and his son Cole. She leaves behind Aunts Patricia Hagan, Susan Kelly, Kathy Baker, Uncle Timothy Kelly and Aunt Shannon, Aunt Colleen and Uncle Richard Strong, Uncle Scott Daly and Aunt Lina. Pre deceased by her Aunt Gay Louise. Melody will be missed by her many friends as well.

We are hoping you can join us in a Celebration of Life for Melody on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 1-4pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, 168 Muskoka Road, Bracebridge.
