Marjorie (Midge) Carson, age 86, died June 19, 2026.
Midge was born and grew up in Toronto where she attended Lawrence Park Collegiate and Victoria College at the University of Toronto. Soon afterwards, she was swept off her feet by her soon to be husband, Mike. They were inseparable for the next 60 years.
They retired to Bracebridge where they lived for 30 years with a series of pampered and very loved cats. She loved spending long, social summers at her family island in Georgian Bay. They also loved to travel including a memorable trip around the world, with stops in Australia, New Zealand and Egypt. Midge was an avid gardener, talented baker and an active member of the CFUW in Bracebridge.
Midge is survived by her loving, devoted husband, Mike, and her sister and best friend, Mary Slinn. She was the most loving and caring Aunt to her nephew Bob (Andrea) Slinn, and niece Sarah (Jeff) McCartney and their respective children. She had a large and loving family and many friends. Thank you to Janna Watson for her gentle and devoted care for Midge.
Midge was cheerful and was always incredibly kind to everyone. She will be greatly missed by all. There will be no service at this time. Donations in her name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Muskoka.
