Daughter of the late Thomas and Cecilia Armstrong. Predeceased by brothers Tom and Bob, and sister's Shirley McIlroy and Alice Hornby. Marie was the cherished aunt of nine nieces and nephews, eight great nieces and nephews and one great-great Niece, with another on the way. Marie lived in Baysville her entire life and loved her community. She was a member of the Horticultural Society for over thirty years, devoting her time tending to parks and cemeteries. Marie served twelve years as a counselor for Lake of Bays and two terms at the district of Muskoka. She co-founded Brownies and Guides and served 15 years as Brown Owl.
