Mabel Williamson

September 17, 1930 — May 10, 2019

Williamson, Mabel Dorothy

Peacefully, surrounded by family, Mabel passed away at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Friday May 10, 2019.

Mabel was predeceased by husbands Jack Bridge (1972), Brock Williamson (2005), daughter Adrienne White (2005), and grand-daughter in-law Lynsie Wilkinson (2017). She is survived by children Chrissie (Harry), John (Patti), Val (Dean), Marj (John), and son-in-law John (Deb).

Mabel was the proud grandmother of seventeen, Jackie (Jake), Jodi (Blake), Julie (Bill), Jaime (Steve), Ed (Elyse), Stephen (Jenny), Scott, Casey, Kelly (Geoff), Melissa (Dave), Shelbi (Brock), Evan (Brittany), Aeryn (Elliott), Lorne (Krystal), Laura (Jake), Joe and Josh (Candice). She also delighted in her "greats", Garrett, Jorja, Clayton, Claire, Callie Rose, Mia, Ella, Carter, and Walker.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mabel was the youngest, and last survivor of six children, Shirley, Margaret, Bob, Jack, and Mary, born to John and Grace of Hamilton, Ontario.

Mabel took great joy in her family, in her life, and reveled in trying anything fun you had to offer. She loved people, playing cards of any kind (especially bridge). She had a keen sense of humour with an infectious laugh everyone loved to hear. She was Mom and Gram to all that knew her well.

Mabel was also an honourable lady of the Shrine.

Special thanks to Dr. K. Martin, Dr. K. Moran, and wonderful nurses Becca, Sam, Kelly, and Amanda, who showed so much care and kindness during a difficult time.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 31st, from 11:00 until 2:00 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Bracebridge.

In lieu of flowers, Mabel has requested donations to Toronto Sick Kid's Hospital in her memory. Messages of condolence may be offered to the family at www.reynoldsfuneral.com
