Mabel passed away peacefully on Monday, March 22, 2021 at the Pines Long Term Care Home in Bracebridge, Ontario at the age of 99.
Lifelong resident of Deebank Road in the Township of Muskoka Lakes; a hard-working farmers wife and helpmate; owner of Bogarts Cottages on Three Mile Lake and a rural school bus driver. Mabel and Aubrey were married on October 9, 1945 for 75 years.
Daughter of the late Eva Agnes Edwards and Thomas John Hammell. Sister to Violet (Alvin) Dyer and the late Gordon, Melvin, Archibald, John Hammell, and Margaret (Harry) Doepel.
Dear mother of Linda Dunsmore (Robert) of Belleville, Barney of Raymond and Kim, Betty Graham (Jim) of Deebank, and Jim Bogart (Marianne) of Bracebridge and JoAnne. Loved grandmother of Laura Essensa (Michael) of Stirling, Bonnie Moorcroft of Belleville, Christine Wollerman (Greg) of Belleville, Grace Walter (David) of Toronto, Ben Bogart (Mariella) of Raymond, Stuart Bogart (Heather) of Rosseau, Aimee Cooper (Jeramy) of Rosseau, Jo Teal (Jocelyn) of Timmins, Jamie Teal (Lauri) of Sudbury, Samantha Bogart, and Stephanie Bogart (Adam) of London. Beloved great grandmother of Erika Essensa, Kaitlyn and Brayden Moorcroft, Ayla, Ellery and Marlowe Wollerman, Katherine and Matthew Teal, DJ and Dustin Teal, Peter, Maggie and Charlotte Walter, Elliot Cooper, Richard and Eliana Bogart, and Amelia Bogart.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
