With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Louise Boese on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Bracebridge. She was in her 71st year. Louise was the loving wife and best friend of Larry Boese. Cherished mother of Joel Unruh (Kim), Michelle Straubinger (Shannon), Karilyn Collee (Jason) and stepmother of Tammy Boese (Peter Edwards) and Matt Boese (Sarah). Proud grandmother of Jack, Tate, Clark, Cohen, Finn, Mackenzie, Mary, Marisa and Dolan. Dear sister of Frank Unrau (Diana), Hank Unrau (Dorothy), Paul Unrau (Ruthann), predeceased Talita Krumrei (Gerry), Albert Unrau (Donna). Predeceased by her parents David and Marie Unrau. Louise will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Louise was a kind, compassionate, caring person. She communicated frequently with her children, checking in on them, sharing in their joys and sorrows. She was so supportive of all those she loved. She was warm and made friends easily. Louise had many interests including a love for God’s creation, particularly birds, her “chippies”, fall colours and sunrise photos. She loved living in Muskoka and the changing of the seasons – each one had something she looked forward to. She loved being outdoors gardening, cruising Healey Lake on the boat and snowmobiling adventures in the winter. Her camera was never far from reach to capture every special scene, moment with others and videos of her grandkids. She has been a bright spark in so many people’s lives and will be dearly missed by many.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the great care given to Louise by the nurses and Doctors during her time at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital.
A private family service to Celebrate the Life of Louise was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 14th, 2020 at Reynolds Funeral Home, Bracebridge.
