Peacefully, after a lengthy illness on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Extendicare Nursing Home in Lindsay, at age 89. Lorraine (nee Haines) beloved wife of Isaac Smith of Lindsay, formerly of Toronto, Newfoundland, Ajax, and Saintfield. Loving mother of Cathie and her husband Bruce Turner of Bracebridge, Larry Smith and his wife Angie of Bobcaygeon, Robert Smith and his wife Dawn of Port Perry, Colin Smith (deceased) and his wife Donna of Calgary, and Danny Smith and his wife Jacalyn of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Loved grandma of Rebecca Butcher, Ryan Smith (Teresa), Tyler Smith (Sarah), Jason Smith, Brittney Smith, Meghan Smith, Amy Smith, Jesse Smith, Joesiah Smith. Great grandma of Ness and Finley Butcher, Karys Smith, Brayden Smith, Hunter Smith, Grant Smith, Ethane Smith and Parks Smith. Dear sister of June Trentadue and her husband Marc of Toronto. Pre deceased by her brothers Gordon, Dennis, Colin, her grandson Bobby, and her sister in law Ruth Haines. Will be remembered by her nieces and nephews. The family of Lorraine Smith will receive friends at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street in Lindsay on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 12 - 2 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made by cheque through the funeral home to Kawartha Lake Food Source or a charity of your choice.
