June Marianne Travis (nee Eastwood)

It's with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of June Marianne Travis (nee Eastwood) at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the age of 86.

June is survived by her beloved husband James Howatt Travis. Cherished children Mark Travis (Stephanie), Kent Travis (Colleen), and Margot Middleton (Curtis). Loving grandchildren Paige (Claudio), Zachary (Sable), and Ethan. June is predeceased by her parents Elvira Irene Eastwood (nee Greenwood) and John Henry Eastwood.

June graduated from Women's College Hospital School of Nursing in 1957, as a registered nurse. Over the 35 years of her career, she worked at the Women's College Hospital, the Sunnybrook Hospital, and the York Finch Hospital. 

June retired at the age of 53 and spent her winters enjoying the warm weather of Florida, where she loved to golf, play cards, and socialize with her fellow snowbirds. During these years she also traveled the world visiting many beautiful places in Canada, the US, and Europe. Above all, she loved and cherished her family (and many fur babies).

Family and Friends are welcome to attend a Visitation on Saturday, June 8^th at 2:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at 3:00 pm, and held at Reynolds Funeral Home on 1 Mary Street, Bracebridge, ON. All are welcome to stay for a reception following.
