John Merrill Thomson died suddenly in Port Charlotte, Florida on Thursday, February 2, 2017 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Anne Thomson. Dear father of Sherri Cooper (Mike), Shelley Orr (Doug) and Ken Karas (Cheryl). Loving grandfather of Bobby, Alyssa, Matthew, Nathan, Carla and Keaton. Proud great grandfather of Payton, Charlie and William. Brother of Sandra and predeceased by Robert. At John's request cremation has taken place. A celebration of life is taking place on Tuesday, April 18 from 1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Burlington Golf and Country Club, 422 North Shore Blvd E., Burlington. John's wishes were for donations to be made to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters. Messages of condolence can be left for the family at www.reynoldsfuneral.com
