With sadness we announce the passing of John Ronald Panko on September 26th, 2018 in Bracebridge, Ontario.
Loving husband to Glenda for 46 years, much adored father to Kristi and Jeff. Born and raised in Weston, John joined the Etobicoke Fire Department in 1973 and retired as Fire Captain after 26 years of service. For much of his life, his spare time was spent building log cabins with the help of a lot of faithful friends, and he enjoyed a wonderful retirement relaxing by the lake. He was a big, generous and kind-hearted character who loved to help anyone in need. He will be dearly missed, but his gentle spirit will remain deep in our hearts.
A Celebration of John's Life will be held on Sunday, November 4th at the JW Marriott Hotel, 1050 Paignton House Road, Minett, from 1 - 4pm.
