Our beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle John Charron passed on September 19, 2024, at his home in Port Carling, in his 71st year,
John's BIG heart gave out and he died peacefully with his dear wife Anne (Gammon) of 40+ years by his side.
He was raised in Bent River and attended school there and at Watt Public as well as Bracebridge Secondary School. He worked as a heavy equipment operator his entire working career. Starting at Windermere Golf Course and with Ray Smith out of Rosseau. It was at these jobs he learned to operate and maintain equipment, which he was a natural at. Many Sundays he spent driving and dropping into the airport, As he has a passion for Aircraft.
John was generous to a fault with his time. Offering to help friends and family no matter what job they had on the go. He was always just a phone call away or would just show up and get right into working alongside you.
He retired from the Township of Muskoka Lakes at 65. This is when he and Anne would go camping and on fishing excursions up North with their friends. He loved to hunt and fish and had a great group of buddies he did both with.
He also loved to play his guitar and sing tunes by George Jones, Merle Haggart, Buck Owens, John Prine and others. Family events were always followed by a guitar playing, singing sessions.
He loved his family and friends and was dearly loved by all of them in return.
Anne will mourn the loss of her husband as Jennifer, Sarah, John Jr the loss of their father, and Sirrya, Shaina, Daiden and Owen their Grand Father. Our hearts are with you all.
A Celebration of John's Life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 1-4pm at the Milford Bay Community Centre, 1020 Beaumaris Road, Milford Bay. Private family interment at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
You will be so missed Johnny.
