John Alfred Fenn

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of John Alfred (Jack) Fenn on Sunday, January 28^th, 2024 at the Pines Long Term Care Home. Jack was the loving spouse of Lorna (Monkman) Fenn for over 64 years. He was the loving father to Kevin (predeceased), Lisa (predeceased), Sharon (Gregg) Mann and Robert Fenn (Donna Gaquit). Proud grandfather to Ryan (Rachel) Mann, Scott (Sarah) Mann, Braden Mann (Jessica Fulton), Kyle and Brooklynn Fenn. Great grandfather to Hailey, Hunter and Hayden Mann, Cooper and Taylor Mann. Jack’s love and support will be greatly missed by the whole family. Jack was born and raised in Toronto and attended St. Michaels College School and University of St. Michaels College at UofT.  Jack played football at both high school and University.  Jack was a dedicated teacher, coach and Vice-Principal at St. Michaels College School for 35 years. He retired to Muskoka where he had spent most of his childhood summers. In his retirement Jack enjoyed sailing, skiing and snowmobiling for many years. Jack also volunteered in many organizations in the Township of Muskoka Lakes. One of his first volunteer projects was being on the committee for the restoration of St. Annes Church on Fenn’s Point. The last four years would have been much more difficult without the love and support of Jack’s sister Erelene. We would also like to thank Dr. V. Dechert for her continued support to our family. The family will receive friends one hour prior (12-1 pm) to Mass which will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 118 McMurray St., Bracebridge on Friday, February 2^nd at 1 pm, a reception to follow the Mass. The Interment to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, 8361 Yonge St., Thornhill on Saturday, February 3^rd at 12 noon.  Special thanks to the staff at the Pines and especially the caring and support group in Oak.
