Jessie Taylor

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jessie Taylor. Mom passed away peacefully with her family by her side on the evening of December 9, 2022, in Gravenhurst, Ontario. Jessie was in her 90th year.

Jessie was born on September 18, 1933, to parents Elias Howard Traves and Ethel Edna Traves of Fraserburg, Ontario. Mom married Robert Allan Taylor on September 22, 1951. They were married 40 years before Allan’s passing in 1991. To this union was born on November 15, 1955, a daughter, Linda Gail (Fanning).

Jessie leaves behind to mourn her loss, her daughter, Linda Fanning, and a son-in-law, Jim Fanning. Granddaughter, Crystal Poirier, grandson, Jason Poirier, and great-granddaughter, Sarah Poirier. Jessie belonged to a very large family. Mourning her loss is also her brother, Lorne Traves (Lenore) of Barrie, Ontario. Jessie was pre-deceased by her brothers, Clifford (Marilyn), Don (Gladys), Roy (Sharon), Albert, Tommy, Ernie, Wilfred (Ruby), and sisters, Eva Lance (Art), Alice Jenkins-Moore, and Della Kameka (Lloyd). She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family were received at Reynolds Funeral Home December 14-15, 2022. The funeral service was conducted on December 15, 2022, at 3:00 pm.
