Jane Frances Runge

Jane Runge, 79, of Gravenhurst, passed away suddenly on November 6, 2025. Jane was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend whose greatest joy was caring for the people she loved. Her gentle nature and nurturing spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Jane found happiness in life’s simple pleasures — tending to her garden, visiting the library as a lifelong avid reader and listening to her “stories”.

Jane was a huge advocate of vulnerable women and devoted much of her younger years supporting abused women in shelters and those dealing with addiction in AA.

Her love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children David (Paula), Stephanie, and Jason (Marion) as well as her grandchildren Jordyn, Madison and Luca who will always carry her memory with them.

Though life brought its share of challenges, Jane’s love for her family never wavered.

A private family gathering will be held to honor her life and the kindness she shared with so many.
