Iris May Gammon passed away peacefully in her 95th year, on the morning of June 27th, 2026 at Andy's House in Port Carling. She spent her last weeks with smiles, music, and newly found friends, as that's what every staff member there, quickly became to her. We say goodbye to Iris with hollow hearts as she filled each and every one of ours...
Iris was a loving wife to her late husband Carl Gammon. Loving mother to Susan (Ken), Judy (predeceased), Annie (John), Keith (Marcia), Diane (Steve), Donna (Scott), Shirley (Mike). Grandmother to 14, Great Grandmother to 13, and Great-Great Grandmother to 3. Iris was one of 8 siblings, survived by her sister Margaret, and loved daughter to Annie and Carl Boyd.
Iris was a teacher of many years. She was an artist with MAC, and a founding member of The Brown Baggers.
Visitation will take place at Reynolds Funeral Home in Bracebridge, on Saturday, July 25th at 10am, followed by her service in the Chapel at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice Muskoka, Andy’s House.
