Helen Houghtling

HOUGHTLING, Helen Agnes , peacefully at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Bracebridge on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009 in her 100th year. Mrs. Houghtling was born in Sydenham, Ontario in November 1909, choosing nursing as a career, she graduated in 1932 from Kingston, General Hospital where she met and married Dr. Walter Houghtling. She was very proud of her family: Merle Thurlow of London, Joyce (John) Hallworth of Bracebridge, Barbara Houghtling of Oakville and Earle (Val) Houghtling of Powassan, her 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and her brother George (Inda) Spafford of Sydenham. For the last six years, Bracebridge Villa was her home. This great lady will be forever loved and missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Cremation has taken place.
