Gregory Alexander Roy, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at his Lake Joseph home. Greg was 73. He was predeceased by his mother, Catherine Roy and father, Wallace Roy. Living relatives include his brother Rob Roy (Bend, Oregon) and adult children Tosch Roy and Zoe Roy (Bend, Oregon), and brother Larry Roy (Oakville, Ontario)/ Madeline Hargreaves Roy) and their adult children Andrea Roy (Boca Raton, Fl), Geoffrey Roy (Oakville, Ontario), Elizabeth Roy Gulledge (Collingwood, Ontario), and Meredith Roy Matthews (Toronto, Ontario). Greg is further survived by his valued Muskoka community of neighbours and friends including Robbie, John, Bill, Gary, Massey, Cindy, Sue and Ann.

Life for Greg was a never-ending adventure. He was forever seeking new and unique moments and venues. Career choices included motor-coach driver - Whistler/Vancouver - Sea to Sky Highway, Independent motor-coach tour guide - Western Canada/ Maritimes Canada, Private Investigator - Toronto, Whitewater raft guide - Ottawa River, New River (USA), Executive assistant - Sacramento California, general contractor - Muskoka Ontario. Greg sought out remote and unspoiled locations to call home (Vancouver Island, Lake Joseph Muskoka, and Cape Breton Island).

Visitation will take place at Reynolds Funeral Home, 1 Mary St., Bracebridge, on Thursday, June 18, from 1 - 3 pm. Greg’s ashes will be placed at Christ Church - Gregory Cemetery, Minett Ontario in mid July.

Memorial donations to SickKids Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
