George Wayne Danby

It is with broken hearts that the family of Wayne Danby announce his passing on February 26th, 2026, at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital. Dad will be deeply missed by his family, friends and colleagues from his long career as a conservation officer with the Ministry of Natural Resources in Massey, Ontario and the High Falls office in Bracebridge.

He leaves behind to mourn, his wife of 26 years Diane, his daughter Kim (Brett), his son Ron (Carrie), his stepchildren, Laura (Grant), Vicki (Rosie), Monica (Lloyd), Connie (Ron) and Stephen.

He was also the loving grandpa of Michael (Cierra), Garrett, Zachary (Rachel), Emma (Sylvain), Wayne, Karleigh, Nyia, Andrea, Eric (d), Brittany, Jordan, Jonathon, Nicholas, Tiffany and great grandpa to Winston, Oliver, Draven, Nolan and Grace. He also leaves many nieces and nephews that he adored and was predeceased by his sisters Patricia and Barbara.

The love he had for his family will remain in our hearts forever.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Reynolds Funeral Home as per his wishes; there will be no service.

If desired, donations may be made in Wayne’s name to the Alzheimer’s Society, South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, or the OSPCA.
