Eric "Ray" Pattillo
Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in his 94th year. Born May 5, 1925 to Eric Pattillo and Ethel Ray in Truro, Nova Scotia. Beloved husband to the late Louise Ecclestone, loving father of Katherine, Marion McCann (Larry), Eric and Frank. Father-in-law to Blair McCann (deceased) and Shelly Pattillo. Missed by grandchildren Michael (Martina), David (Danika) McCann and Tessa and Alex Pattillo as well as his great grandson Andrew and soon to be great granddaughter.
Ray was a world war two veteran after serving he worked with Viceroy Rubber Company in Truro, Nova Scotia and Toronto, Ontario. The family moved to Huntsville in the 1960's where he and his wife Louise owned Ecclestone Hardware until his retirement. Throughout his life he was involved in many organizations, chamber of commerce, all Saints Anglican Church, Rotary club (Paul Harris Fellow), Scouts Canada and Muskoka Pioneer Village in Huntsville. He continued his volunteer work when he moved to Bracebridge with St. Thomas Anglican Church, Mana Food Bank, Muskoka Hospice and life member of the South Muskoka Hospital Auxiliary.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 19th from 7 - 9pm at Reynolds Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 20th at 11am at St. Thomas Anglican Church. In Lieu of flowers donations to Muskoka Hospice, South Muskoka Hospital or St. Thomas Church would be appreciated. Condolences may be made to www.reynoldsfuneral.com.
