Elsie Nickason

Peacefully at the Pines on Sunday, December 11th, 2022, Elsie Irene (Kerr) Nickason of Port Sydney in her 96th year. Beloved wife of Aubrey Nickason for 74 years. Dear mother of Lynn Armstrong, Judith Dobson (Garth Sutherland), Stephen (Valerie), Teresa Metz (Ron), Patricia Hayward (Dale), Clifford (Sharon), Mark (Andrea). Lovingly remembered by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Donald and Olive (Forsythe) Kerr and son-in-law George Armstrong. Elsie enjoyed playing the guitar in her younger years, she loved to watch sports, putter in her garden and watch the hummingbirds from the window in the spring. She loved to host messy, loud, chaotic, fun filled family Christmases in their home. Visitation will be held one hour prior (1-2 pm) to the Funeral Service on Saturday, December 17th at 2 pm at the Deer Lake Gospel Hall, 654 Muskoka District Road 46, Port Sydney. Spring interment Stephenson Township Cemetery, Port Sydney.   Memorial donations in memory of Elsie may be made to the Salvation Army – South Muskoka Ministries Christmas Fund and can be arranged through Reynolds Funeral Home.
