Elizabeth Mcintyre

November 10, 1940 — January 19, 2023

Bracebridge

With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth (Liz) on January 19, 2023.  Cherished mother of Cindy (Steven), Kelly (the late David Dick) and Danny. Beloved Nanny of Shannon, Sarah, Sean, Melissa, Kyle (Jamie), Danny (Alana), John (Kristy) and Parker (Avery). Great Nanny to Jaiden, Riley, Julien, Johnathon, Addisyn, Jack, Carter, Skylar, Kane and Tanner. Elizabeth will fondly be remembered by her brother, John, nieces, nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her big brother, Bill.

Liz was a Toronto resident most of her life and worked tirelessly as a PSW for over 25 years.  For the last 12 years she lived at McVittie Place in Bracebridge, where she made many treasured friendships and participated in monthly birthday dinners and social activities in the Muskoka room.  Liz had a sharp mind and loved puzzles, trivia, and game shows. You would often find her at home watching the game show channel and even up to her last days would easily know most of the answers.

On October 1st, Liz held a get-together and was so appreciative to be able to spend time with family and friends to catch up, share stories and celebrate life.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the PSW’s and nurses in Muskoka for the exceptional care they provided. We are especially grateful to Nikki (GOAT) and June for their unconditional friendship, support and kindness. Clearly, there are angels that walk among us.

At Liz’s wishes, cremation will take place and she will be laid to rest with her parents, the late Elizabeth and James Paul.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society is appreciated.
