He leaves behind his sister, Elizabeth (Carl Savolainen) and was predeceased by his brothers Tom, Malcolm (Buzz) and Ken.

Ed developed a successful business (Ed Campbell Construction) and was proud to have his name associated with many beautiful cottages and boathouses that he built on the shores of his beloved Lake Joseph and Lake Rosseau. Ed was also a 50-year Charter member of the Peninsula Lions Club, having been the founding President, and was recently presented with his 50-year pin. He also was a Deputy District Governor and a Regional Chair for the Lions. He enjoyed winters in Florida where he cultivated many enduring friendships. His special friend, Peg Cashman, was also an important part of his life for many years.

Visitation will take place at Reynold’s Funeral Home on Sunday, February 8th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with the Funeral Mass to follow on Monday, February 9th at 11am, St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bracebridge. Reception to follow in the church hall.

The family would like to extend our most sincere thank you to the staff from the Andy’s House At Home program, in particular Kateland, Sandra and Heather, whose visits over the last number of weeks provided great comfort, support and care to Ed. His transition to Andy’s House for his final hours felt familiar and comforting because he knew these wonderful caregivers were waiting for him there. We’d also like to express our sincere thanks to his nurse Agatha from Paramed, his care coordinator from Closing the Gap, Ashley and PSW’s Trish and Anne, who provided excellent care for Ed and enabled him to stay at home until his final day.

Memorial donations to Andy’s House would be greatly appreciated. Personal condolences and memories may be shared at www.reynoldsfuneral.com.
