Earl William Linn

With great sadness, the family of Earl Linn announces his passing on Christmas day at 6:00 pm. He was in his home and cared for by his wife Heidi Linn, daughter Sue, and sister Marg Massey. Special thanks also to the girls from Closing The Gap Healthcare.

Born March 10, 1933, in Meaford Range, Ontario. Eldest of 5 children, Earl, Marg Massey, Lorraine Ennis, Phylis Hodgekinson, and Dennis Linn. Earl was the father of 3, Marlene Mischler, Sue Linn, and Dan Linn. Grandfather of 7 Dan, Johnathan, Casey, Kevin, Autumn, Monika, and Mark. Great-Grandfather of 14 Tyler, Abbi, Everett, Jace, Ruby-Linn, Evangelina, Xavier, Aurora, Brooklyn, Savannah, River, Skylar, Rhogan, Sahara, Quintan, Emberlyn, and Ryland. As well as 3 Great-Great Grandchildren, Wylder, Elowin, and Atlas.

In his long and industrious life, he wore many hats – Airplane mechanic, mould maker, Tool and Die, Aluminum Foundry owner, horse and carriage driver, collector and showman, Trailer Company, Wood and firewood processor, and finally working on machinery at a local lumber company. Earl was a Rotarian from 1965, he was president in Bolton Ontario he then moved to Muskoka where he was a lifetime member.

Known for his quick wit, funny jokes, and stories of the events of a very busy and varied life. He loved nature, reading, flying his planes, snowmobiling, parties, family get-togethers, and mom’s cooking. He had a great passion for new experiences, new foods, travel, new people, creating, experimenting, and prototypes.

In the last two weeks home in Glen Orchard was an open house. Many many family and friends were able to visit, have a snack, and even enjoyed a story or two. We thank you all for making this last time with Dad perfect. He couldn’t have wished for more!

He will be greatly missed!

We will have a Celebration of Life in the spring.
