Douglas George Lawson

Interment Service to take place Friday May 17, 2024 1:00pm Bracebridge Municipal Cemetery 19 Lilac Lane Bracebridge, Ontario. A reception will follow at Reynolds Funeral Home 1 Mary Street Bracebridge.

Passed away peacefully on November 23, 2023, at his home in Bracebridge at the age of 54. 

Dearly loved brother of David (Judy), Dan (Carolyn). Cherished son of Joan and the late Dr. Roy Lawson.  Doug is survived by nieces and nephews Andra, Jared, John, and Jennifer. 

Doug was a quiet gentle soul and will be missed by many. He had a quick wit and was always making people laugh. Doug was brought up in a loving Christian home and he carried that foundation of faith in Jesus throughout his life.

He was a fan of our Maple Leafs like no other. To know Doug is to appreciate how, as a young child attending a game at Maple Leaf Gardens, he found his way to Harold Ballard and King Clancy in their familiar bunker. He told them his ideas on how to fix our moribund Leafs (at the time) and no doubt gave them something to think about.

A service will take place in the Spring.
