Dianne Brown

Dianne Shirley Brown (nee Cope)
March 10, 1946 — June 16, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of
Dianne. She is survived by her husband, John Brown, of 50 years. Dianne
is predeceased by her parents Lionel and Gladys Cope, older sister Nancy
Coffin, and twin brother David (Sam) Cope. She leaves behind a large
extended family, and many nieces and nephews.

After high school, Dianne worked in Toronto for six years at McLaren
Advertising when John persuaded her to get married and come home to
Port Carling. Dianne was a familiar face at the Bank of Nova Scotia for 36
years.

Dianne was a warm, caring, and compassionate daughter, wife, sister and
aunt. She had a passion for cooking, gardening, and an endless love for
dogs. On summer nights she could be found reading a book on the
veranda.

John invites family and friends to come celebrate in the life of Dianne
Brown on July 8, 2023, from 2pm - 4pm, at the Port Carling Legion.
Donations can be made to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital
(Bracebridge) in lieu of flowers.
