Diane Lilianne Thibeault

December 21, 1949 — October 26, 2025

Estero, Florida

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Diane Lilianne Thibeault, a beautiful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Surrounded by love, she passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, at Andy’s House in Port Carling, Ontario — just minutes from the family cottage, a place filled with countless cherished memories that will forever remind us of her warmth, grace, and spirit.

At 75, she was loved by all who met her. Her smile lit up every room and left a lasting mark on everyone she encountered. For 16 courageous months, she fought cancer with the strength and determination of a true warrior, showing her family what resilience and love truly mean.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Aurele Belair. Left to celebrate her incredible life is her beloved husband and best friend of 60 years, Réjean Joseph Thibeault, who stood by her side through every joy and every challenge.

She will be forever missed by her sister Marlene, her sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, great friends, and especially her children and their families:

  • Yvon (Lyne) Plante and grandchildren Vincent (Emily), William (Carol Anne), Tomas (Sarah), Demy (David) Mercille, and Sara (Alexandre) Mercille, along with great-grandchildren Henri, Jacob, and Theodore.
  • Corey (Todd) Westover and grandchildren Morgan (Kelton) Roth, Marc (Riley) Westover, and Taylor Westover.
  • Marc (Elena) Thibeault and grandsons Owen and Julian Thibeault.

She loved playing golf with her friends at West Bay in Estero, Florida, and South Muskoka. An avid reader and an amazing cook; she filled every home with wonderful meals, laughter and even better conversation. Fearless, she was always ready for whatever life brought her way.

Her family and friends will remember her not only for her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love, but also for her ability to make everyone feel special. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her. Forever in our hearts, she will be remembered as a woman whose love knew no bounds.

The family wishes to thank the compassionate staff at Andy’s House for their exceptional care and comfort during her final days. In lieu of flowers or other sympathy gifts, please honour Diane by making a donation to Hospice Muskoka - Andy’s House, fully supported through donors.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Muskoka— a place she so dearly loved.
