Deborah Durocher

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Deborah Ann “Deb” Durocher (nee Walsh), at the age of 68. She left us peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on February 17, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Deb was born to her beloved parents Joan and the late James Walsh on December 7, 1953, in Renfrew County.

Deb will be forever missed and remembered by her husband and best friend of 22 years, Peter Durocher, as well as her loving children Chris Brazier (Hayley), Lisa Brazier (Jeff), Ryan Durocher (Kara), and Alison Durocher (Greg). She was the best Nana/Gramma to her grandchildren Breanna, Caleb, Hayden, Keira, Bennett, and Meg. Deb also leaves behind her siblings Cath Coleman (John), Jimmy Walsh (Connie), Marg Skaug (Allan), Mosie Emms (Joe), Mary Lalonde (Larry), and her late brother Bobby Walsh.

Deb loved her family and friends with an intensity that could be seen and felt by all. Her life was a living example of love and selflessness. Her children and grandchildren were her proudest accomplishments. She was an inspiration of courage, perseverance, and positivity. Deb touched so many people's lives with her warmth and kindness, and this love was reciprocated through her lifetime by family, friends, and neighbours.

In keeping with Deb’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life and interment of ashes will be held in the Spring. In her memory, donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and may be arranged through Reynolds Funeral Home.
