David Edward Taylor

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of David Edward Taylor on July 12, 2025, at the age of 72. He is survived by his beloved wife Glady of 34 years. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Olive Taylor and his sister Alma (Lloyd) Leeder.

He will be missed by his siblings Murray (Carol), Barry (Marie) and Nancy (Andrew). He was a proud step-father to Carrie (Brent) Reid, Susan (Jody Mills) & Shawn (Allyson) MacCormack. He was also “Papa” to Meagan & Jodie Schell, Amy & Kellie Antonia, Andrew & Reywin MacCormack and his many nieces, nephews & friends.

Born on March 10, 1953, Dave grew up in Windemere in the family home, finishing high school before heading off to college. His early career started in sales with Canadian Tire and continued with Taylor Farm Sand & Gravel Trucking before retiring from the Town of Huntsville at the age of 65.

In addition to spending time with his wife Glady, Dave loved spending time with friends & family at their Huntsville summer haven. His hobbies not only included spending time outdoors but also in the garage tending to numerous trucks in need. He took great pride in being an active member of the Bracebridge Legion.

A funeral service has been arranged at the Reynolds Funeral Home on Thursday, July 17th, 2025, beginning at 2pm, with a dedication at 2:30pm, followed by a reception.
