Cody William Nelson

On Thursday, May 21st, 2026, Cody William Nelson tragically died at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital at the young age of 23. He was the beloved son to Dan and Tracy Nelson, and grandson to Rita Franchi. He leaves behind two siblings, a sister Tyiara Nelson, and a brother Quintin Nelson. He also leaves behind a two-and-a-half year old son Liam Nelson. He leaves behind not only these family members, but so many more, and people that had become family over the years as well as an amazing group of friends.

Cody brought a smile to the faces of everyone around him, he was a kind gentle soul who left this world too early, and we are all deeply saddened from his loss. There are no words to describe the empty space he leaves behind, he was vibrant and so full of life, and had so much more to give. He unfortunately won’t get the chance to continue living his life, but he lives through all of those who loved him, through our memories, and through the lives that we live because he would want everyone he cared about to be happy and to continue making memories.

Visitation will take place at the Reynolds Funeral Home, on Saturday, June 6th, from 2-4pm. Our family looks forward to seeing all those that loved and cared about Cody and hearing your stories about him.
