Caroline Boyes

January 27, 1944 — September 15, 2025

Bracebridge

Caroline George Boyes, age 81, of Bracebridge, passed away peacefully at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital on September 15, 2025.

Born on January 27, 1944, Caroline grew up and spent her life in Bracebridge. She met the love of her life, Casey, at the age of 15, and the two were married by the time she was 20 - beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, and dedication.

Caroline worked as a hairstylist for Elinor before having children and later worked at the Bracebridge Examiner for many years as a proofreader. She volunteered her time generously at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, breast screening clinic.

She had a deep love for nature and especially listening to and identifying birds, enjoyed drinking wine on the dock, floating on the river in her raft, and soaking in the beauty of Muskoka’s wildlife. Caroline loved reading, playing Scrabble, spending time with her family, who meant the world to her, and she will always be remembered for her pecan pie, and maple bisque.

Caroline is survived by her devoted husband, Casey Boyes; her two daughters, Meredith (Shaun) and Melanie (John); and her cherished grandchildren, James, Jessica, Liam, and Avery. She will be remembered always for her love for knitting, making cards and folk-art painting.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Caroline’s memory may be made to the Humane Society.
