Carol Hartill

HARTILL (Mather), Carol Joan - Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026 at The Pines Long Term Care Home in Bracebridge. She was 84.

Carol was born in Haileybury, Ontario to the late Harry and Stella Mather on July 6, 1941. She met her beloved (late) Jim at Ontario Hydro in North Bay and were happily married for 54 years.

She was cherished mother to Stephanie and (late) Mary Beth and loving grandmother to Cameron and Paige Ballard. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and there was never a bad moment, it was just a different adventure.

Carol enjoyed singing with Jim in the Humber Valley and Bracebridge United Church choirs. She volunteered for the Hospital Auxiliary in Bracebridge.

She leaves behind her sisters, Margaret Butler and Susanne Martin as well as many treasured nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 30th at 1pm at the Bracebridge United Church, 46 Dominion Street, Bracebridge.
