Sadly, we announce the passing of Brian on Monday, September 25, 2023, at the age of 81 after a year-long fight against cancer.

Brian had a long career with the Ministry of the Environment after starting his working life following in his father's footsteps of surveying. He was an active member of the South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club from its evolution as the Bracebridge Curling Club on James Street to its current location. He also enjoyed many wonderful fishing trips with friends to the Bad River Lodge and summers at the family's Bala Park Island cottage on Lake Muskoka.

Brian is survived by his wife, Janice, of 58 years and his two daughters Deborah and Suzanne, his wonderful grandchildren Sean and Lexie along with his two brothers, Kevin and Gary, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Michael, and siblings, Gordon, David, and Heather.

A Celebration of life will be held at the South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club on November 4, 2023, from 1 pm - 4 pm.
