Barbara Ann Hunter (nee Armstrong), passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 21st, 2024 at Andy's House in Port Carling. She was the cherished wife of Scott Hunter, together in love for 55 years, married for 49. A loving mother to Amanda & Shaun, and Brandon & Amy. Adoring Mum-Mum to Lara, Chase, and Hayden.
Barb was pre-deceased by her Mother and Father, Esther and Clifford Armstrong as well as her Mother In Law and Father In Law Lynn and Glenn Hunter.
She will be sadly missed by her siblings; Bruce (Sue), the late Don (Alice), Gloria (Calvin), Al (Judy), the late Betty May, Bonnie (Brad), the late Ronnie, Brenda (Rod), Ricky (Karen), Sandra (Gord) and Aunt Beatrice. Barb will also be missed by her brothers and sisters of the Hunter family, her nieces, nephews, and friends.
Many remember Barb for her 40+ years spent working at the Royal Bank of Canada, or her time as a Rotarian in Bracebridge. Barb was always willing to lend a hand to help those in need. She was a kind, loving person who will be forever in our thoughts.
A Celebration of Barb’s life will be held on Saturday, April 20th from 1 to 3 pm at the Rotary Centre for Youth in Bracebridge.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Andy’s House.
