Alfred Rowan

Mel Rowan passed away at the General Hospital in Ottawa, March 19, 2008 in his 94th year. Mel was born in Toronto, May 29, 1914 and shortly after marriage, moved to Bracebridge. He is the loving father of Gladys (Paul) Gallant and Joan (Gerry) Short. Four Grandchildren, seven Great Grand children and two Great-Great Grand-children will lovingly remember him. Mel was predeceased by his wife Janet, his brother Basil (Babe) and sisters Gladys, Leola and Lorraine. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the South Muskoka Hospital, Bracebridge or the Canadian Cancer Society. A celebration of his life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Bracebridge, on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.
